Our 13 year old son is a drummer. We just happened to stop at an Irving gas station in Meductic where my son noticed a really cool Sabian drum cymbal clock. We started chatting with the really nice lady who was serving us and she informed us that the Sabian cymbals are made in Meductic!! Well, of course we took a small detour to the factory, offices and museum. What an experience! We could see the factory floor, there was a cute museum, and best of all, there was some swag!! We bought t-shirts, a ball cap, a cymbal chime and the very same cymbal clock!! Plus, the lady who took greeted us gave us stickers, badges, necklaces, dvd, ... Excellent customer service!! Theyre simply put, the best. Zildjians always have sounded two-dimensional to me. Sabian cymbals open up a whole new dimension, and taste, and colour. Maybe Im confusing my senses, but thats what a good instrument does. The best service and warranty in the industry. GO CANADIAN! PLAY SABIAN! TASTES GREAT WITH MAPLE SYRUP!
Great people here! My wife and I stopped by in the summer around 1981-83 cannot remember what exact year, and were treated to a tour by an employee who was related to the Zildjian family. He was great and gave us a private tour for about 45 minutes where we met Eric Carr the then drummer of Kiss shopping for cymbals. The Sabian employee at the end of our tour sent us on our way with some Sabian swag gifts! All in all a highlight of our eastern Canada vacation! I understand they have a 30th year museum there now and if you call ahead they will arrange a tour as well!
Awesome tour. Very cool what they do here. They turn lumps of tin and copper into works of art.
